Kourtney and Khloe Kardashian are about to get some very tanned neighbors: The second season of Jersey Shore is South Beach-bound.
On Wednesday, The Miami Herald reported what we’ve been hearing for weeks; the controversial cast of MTV’s Jersey Shore will take over The Sunshine State’s trendy South Beach community for its second season, premiering this summer.

You mean people don’t want drunken, first-pumping twentysomethings mating all over the neighborhood? Imagine that!
The new season of Jersey Shore will begin production in the next two weeks.
Snooki’s Guido Wants To Put Her On A Diet
Snooki’s Guido is putting her on a diet. Jersey Shore’s Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi and her boyfriend Emilio Masella are officially in love – and Emilio, who is a personal trainer, is determined to get the 4′11 spitfire in fighting shape.
“I’m trying to train her, but she’s always on the road. I wrote up a diet for her. I’m trying to get her to start dieting and start training,” the chiseled bodybuilder told the mag on Tuesday. “I’ve been living her life, so I’m trying to get her [to see mine].”
Who thought Jersey Shore was a good show?
I am just bored and curious as to who all liked the show. Personally I thought it was a great show and now I want to go to the Jersey Shore and meet the cast. What does everyone else think?
MTV Sued Over Ronnie-Sammi “Jersey Shore” Fight
A couple who were involved in a boardwalk brawl on an episode of MTV’s Jersey Shore have filed a lawsuit against the network, claiming edited the footage to cover up what actually transpired, TMZ.com reported this week.
Joshua Thomas and Kristin Perrenod say the reality show’s producers edited the incident “in a matter that was completely inconsistent with what really took place.”
In the episode that aired, a troublemaking passerby is shown insulting Jersey Shore cast members Ronnie and Sammi “Sweetheart” as they walk on the boardwalk. Sammi responds with some trash talk and a brawl ensues after Ronnie is seen charging the troublemaker. The couple claims they have a DVD that contains raw footage of the fight and shows Ronnie and Sammi provoking them by yelling homophobic slurs and other insults.
Although the couple claim they signed a release form after the incident, they argue that it shouldn’t be considered valid because they were “clearly intoxicated” when they signed the waiver.
Thomas and Perrenod are suing MTV, 459 Productions, Viacom, Ronnie and others for an unspecified amount, TMZ reported.

PALOS HEIGHTS, Ill. — nine months pregnant and married to afervent Bears fan with tickets to Sunday’s NFC Championship Game,Colleen Pavelka didn’t want to risk going into labor during thegame against the New Orleans Saints.
Due to give birth on Monday, Pavelka’s doctor told her Fridayshe could induce labor early. She opted for the Friday delivery.
“I thought, how could [Mark] miss this one opportunity that hemight never have again in his life?” said Pavelka, 28, from thesouthwestern Chicago suburb of Homer Glen.
At 10:45 p.m. Friday, Mark Patrick Pavelka was born at PalosCommunity Hospital after close to six hours of labor.
While her husband watched the Bears play the New Orleans Saintsat Soldier Field Sunday, Colleen planned to watch in the hospitalwith the baby wrapped in a Bears blanket — a Christmas gift fromhis grandmother.
the couple named Mark after his father, who wore a “Monsters ofthe Midway” shirt during the delivery.
“If he wasn’t born by Sunday and the Bears won, I would havenamed him Rex,” after Bears quarterback Rex Grossman, joked MarkPavelka, 28.
Mark is the couple’s second son.

The O’Connor Casting Company is looking for twentysomethings to star in a Jersey Shore-type reality show based on Chicago’s South Side. All you have to do to apply is e-mail three recent photos and “a brief description of your awesomeness.”
“We’re looking for characters,” says O’Connor Casting President David O’Connor, who has already received more than 500 applications from hopeful would-be reality stars. “People with heart. The ideal candidates will be South Siders, 19-27 years old, who are “sexy, crazy, and fun Sox fans.”
While Jersey Shore has infuriated civil rights groups with its perceived stereotypes of the Italian-American community, O’Connor hopes to do Chicago proud with the proposed new spinoff: “We’re hoping it’s not an embarrassment to Chicago,” he told FOX News this week.
The hard-partying cast of the breakout hit has encouraged a movement of TV producers vying to bring the world of GTL (Gym, Tan, Laundry) to the small screen. Last month, the co-creators of Russian with Love began pitching a Jersey Shore-style show focusing on the lives of young Russian-Americans in NYC’s Brighton Beach community.

“Jersey Shore” Goes “Jaywalking” On “The Tonight Show” VIDEO
Leno’s first week back as host of The Tonight Show continued Wednesday, with the late-night comedian welcoming the cast of Jersey Shore to the stage for a Celebrity All-Stars edition of “Jaywalking.” Here’s a given: no one on TV’s most controversial reality hit is a Rhodes Scholar. Six cast members from the popular docusoap appeared on Wednesday night’s special edition of Jay Leno’s classic skit, where the self-described “guidos” and “guidettes” participated in a trivia game where they would be asked “things you should have learned in school.”

It’s all part of a series for “Lopez Tonight” where the “Jersey Shore” peeps reenact scenes from this year’s Best Picture list. the “Hurt Locker” clip airs Monday night — and scenes from “Avatar,” “Up in the Air,” “Precious,” “Inglourious Basterds” and “The Blind Side” will air throughout the week.
