The life story of Apple CEO Steve Jobs is coming to the stage! The Berkeley Repertory Theatre in California is hosting a new play about the tech genius titled “The Agony and the Ecstasy of Steve Jobs.” The play promises to explore the “epic story of a real-life Willy Wonka” and his rise to the top.

The producers of The Agony and the Ecstasy say their portrayal of Jobs will be unflattering at times; the play will look at the “trail to China where millions toil in factories to create iPhones and iPods.”
Techie-turned-thesbian Mike Daisey — who famously left Amazon.com to become an actor — has been cast as Jobs. The show opens in Jan. 2011.
